Matt, founder of Duke's Heritage

Matt left the
trading floor for
the dirt road.

Matt spent years in finance in Manhattan. Good job. Good money. The kind of work where you check your phone before your feet hit the floor in the morning.

Then he moved to Portugal. Not for a company or a plan. Just to see what happened when he stopped running at that speed. What happened was dirt roads along the coast, villages where nobody's heard of Bloomberg Terminal, and a 1995 Land Rover Defender that he bought on a whim from a retired fire brigade in the Italian Alps.

He drove it back to the Shore. People lost their minds over it. So he went back and found another one. Then another. Duke's Heritage is what grew out of that.

Low Miles.
Real History.
No Stories.

Every Defender we sell has single-owner provenance and documented history. We buy directly. Never from dealers, never from auctions. When we say a truck was a fire brigade vehicle in the Italian Alps, it's because Matt drove it off the lot himself.

We like honest wear. Trucks that were used with purpose and maintained with care. Not garage queens with perfect paint and no life behind them.

Sourced in Europe.
Delivered to
Your Door.

Matt splits his time between Portugal and New Jersey. He spends weeks driving through the Italian Alps, the Portuguese countryside, and the English Midlands looking for the right trucks.

Each vehicle gets professionally inspected and serviced before it ships. By the time it reaches the Shore, it's ready to drive. Montauk. Spring Lake. Or just the long way home on a Friday evening.

What We Believe

Provenance Over Polish

A truck with a real story beats a truck with a perfect paint job. We'd rather show you the fire brigade badge than sand it off.

Driven, Not Displayed

These are not museum pieces. Every Defender we sell is road-ready. Gravel, sand, the roads that make you glad you didn't take the highway.

One at a Time

We don't carry inventory. Matt finds one truck, brings it home, and moves on to the next one when it's sold. That's it.
