From the trading floor

Our founder Matt spent years working in finance in Manhattan and London. Good job. Good money. The kind of work where you check your phone before your feet hit the floor in the morning.

Then he moved to Portugal. Not for a company or a plan. Just to see what happened when he stopped running at that speed. What happened was dirt roads along the coast, villages where everyone knows each other, and a 1995 Land Rover Defender that he bought from a retired fire brigade deep in the Italian Alps affectionately known simply as The Rover.

He arranged for transportation back to the Shore. When it arrived, people lost their minds over it. So he went back and found another one. Then another. Duke's Heritage is what grew out of that.

Every Defender we sell has documented history. We source directly. Rarely from dealers. We look where others don't. When we say a truck spent its life in a service depot in the Alps, it's because Matt drove it out of the garage himself.

We like honest wear. Trucks that were used with purpose and preserved with care, integrity, and an eye for the original story they were meant to tell. We inject life back into original interiors and features. These are not garage queens with perfect paint and no life behind them.

Matt spends weeks driving through the Italian Alps, the Portuguese countryside, and the dry climates of France and Spain looking for the right trucks.

Each of our Defenders gets thoroughly inspected and serviced and is ready to hit the road.

True Originals

A truck with a real story beats a truck with a perfect paint job. We'd rather show you the original badges than paint over them. Each vehicle we source has a unique history all its own.

Ready For Today

We travel around the world to acquire rare finds: low-mileage, left-hand-drive vehicles maintained with care for decades. Every Defender we sell is ready for the gravel, sand, and the back roads that make you glad you didn't take the highway.

One at a Time

We don't carry inventory. Matt finds the right truck, ships it across the Atlantic, and begins the process again once it's found the right owner. That's it.
